If the teeth are damaged or missing, the reconstructive dentistry is used. A damaged tooth (e.g. due to a tooth or an old filling that loses) can be restored functionally and aesthetically with a partial ceramic crown. The remaining healthy dental substance is protected. If the tooth is severely damaged, a complete crown offers the most stable restoration.
