In 1992 Antonio De Francesco, a dentist, began his collaboration with the historical study of doctors Carlo and Enrico Bächtold, located in the centre of Mendrisio, first as an assistant and collaborator and later, in 1995, he inherited and detects the activity of Dr. Carlo Bächtold who decided to retire.

The collaboration with Dr. Enrico continues in perfect harmony for almost 20 years as a Bächtold-De Francesco studio. In 2012 Dr. Enrico Bächtold decided to give his share of activity to a colleague.

In 2015 De Francesco moved to a few meters away, in Via Lavizzari 20, in a new and modern building, as an independent activity, always in line with the philosophy of its predecessors.
