History of Open Space

In the northern district of Bellinzona, grown without urban planning, it has long felt the need for a place to socialize.

It was then that he thought of building in the meadows of the convent, a center that allowed the people to find themselves to meet their social and cultural needs.

The facts did not want that center to be a propagement of the Church but promoted a lay association that managed it.

This was the case in 1992 Spazio Open in Via Gerretta 9a

Since its first years of activity, the Centre has proved to be of great use not only for the district of the city of Bellinzona but, given its location, it is required from all over Ticino and also from internal Switzerland as a meeting place.

Those who have so far used it have always admired the simplicity of the architectural lines, the comfort of its spaces that allows assemblies and small groups of study, as well as concerts of various kinds.

But what is most appreciated is the fact that a consistent group can exclusively book the whole center in order to carry out entire study days, stopping also at lunch or dinner.

Conferences

The rooms of Spazio Open are particularly suitable for all those companies, associations, educational institutes that need a space just to be able to set up, when there is the need, conferences, assemblies, meetings or courses of any kind. It is also possible to take advantage of our exhibition for political events, art presentations or even, as already happens, use our main room for musical and artistic essays.

The Conference Room

The main hall is located on the ground floor, has a capacity with theater configuration of 250 places.
