Languages are at the centre of the scene in the School of Applied Linguistics SAL. A high level of competence is essential for a successful career in the language industry.

Different addresses

SAL can be attended immediately after completing the secondary school or at any other time of life. SAL students are different as life itself: Graduates of apprenticeship with or without professional maturity, graduates, people wishing to obtain an additional professional qualification after university, people looking for a new challenge after a long period of professional activity, people returning to work, etc. - in short: people who at some point in their lives decide to use their linguistic talent at a professional level.

Part-time courses or for those interested

Courses (literary writing, theatrical writing, draft reading, literary translation, SVEB-Zertifikat Ausbilder/in Sprachunterricht, AdA ZA-DL mit EUROLTA) are part-time training courses requiring an average one-day lesson per week during 2 or 4 semesters. These courses are obviously open to anyone interested in content without a professional interest.
