I grew up and went to school in Klosters. As a child, I often spent time with my grandfather in his forge / metalworking workshop in Alvaneu. Initially I learned the craft of carpentry, but my charm for metal and especially for forging led me to a second apprentice as a metal mechanic. In 1990, I found my grandfather's workshop. Our family's blacksmith tradition has been documented for over 300 years. Since then I live and work in Alvaneu with my wife Margrith and manage our business together with joy and conviction. In 2000, I received a sponsorship award from the Grison Canton "Bündner Kunsthandwerk". This allowed me to continue my education at the University of Art and Design in Zurich. My works usually have a contemporary design language, with a focus on forging techniques. I also carry out construction work in metal and blacksmith. Custom metal solutions and other materials are an interesting challenge for me.
