Our fish and meat specialties are well known beyond the region. For example, grilled sole. Chateaubriand, served on site and, of course, the ambition Herren Siedfleisch, our specialty of the house. Or one of the many other dishes - obviously also of vegetable origin - of our menu, which is inspired by the local cuisine and the international one selected. History
164 years and 5 generations
The long history of the restaurant Oberes Triemli begins almost exactly 164 years ago: At the time, in 1859, Jakob Hofstetter built the residential building with a brewery, a barn and a stable. The first structural changes were made since 1946: A butchery was built with apartments; A mini-golf, a bowling alley, a self-service buffet for the restaurant in the garden and garage were added to the building. In 1984, the structures of minigolf and bowling alley were demolished, the restaurant in the garden was remodeled and new rooms were built. Since that year, the restaurant has been in its present form. In 2009, exactly 150 years after the construction of the first building, Fabian Gallmann, a great-grandson of Jakob Hofstetter, assumed the management of the restaurant in the fifth generation. And still today, the Säli Hofstetter and the salon were preserved in their original form 164 years ago. Other premises recall the lively history of the building: where today the Metzgerstübli invites her to dine, once was the butcher shop, the Triemli Saloon and the Triemli Saloon Bar were shops - and in the early days of the enlivened history of the building, there stood the barn.
