The idea of designing and building a covered tennis center originated in the early 1980s, when this sport was constantly growing, both as a number of new players and as an interest in mass media.

The client saw the lack of covered tennis courts during the winter season and decided to create a “fixed” structure that could offer better usability (such as game and dressing logistics etc.) than traditional die-balls.

The excavations began in autumn 1983 and on 6 December 1984 the 5 covered fields were opened. But it can be said that the whole structure received its true “baptism” in the winter of 1985 with a historic snowfall that successfully tested the whole building! At Easter of 1985 the restaurant was opened, which was named after the Centre. A second phase of expansion saw the creation in 1987 of 4 external fields in land with annexed holes and services. The third phase of enlargement was more recently, in 2014, with the construction of two synthetic material fields (play-it) which are covered with the diestatic ball during the winter season. This type of fund is particularly appreciated by young people in general and by those who compete.

The Centre is located in the industrial area of Cadempino which, despite this destination, offers a pleasant aesthetic appearance thanks to the elegance of the companies and other stables inserted by hand, as well as the presence of land used for sports and leisure. All this has allowed to maintain a good relationship with the surrounding natural environment.
