The Hotel-Motel Löwen in Wimmis was built around 1650. Otto and Rösli Moser purchased the Löwen in 1950 and ceded it to his son Charles and his wife Heidi Moser-Wendel in 1977. Since 2005, Barbara Meister-Moser is the third generation to manage the business. Hotel-Motel Löwen in Wimmis is located in the city centre and a few minutes' walk from public transport. It has a cosy restaurant, an elegant "Gourmetstübli" and a large dining room for 80 people. The rooms at the motel are very quiet, all equipped with a minibar, TV, safe and a wonderful seating area in the garden overlooking the Niesen. The hotel's 'rustic' rooms offer families and travellers an economical accommodation with shower in the room and shared toilets
