Welcome to the Günschmatte nursing home website.

The nursing home and certified care of Lauterbrunnen, with its 35 cozy single rooms, is open to all - but residents of the municipality of Lauterbrunnen have priority. The "Günschmatte" does not want to be an island for the elderly. Relations with public life, other residents of the valley and relatives, friends and acquaintances must be maintained and cultivated as much as possible. Residents of the AVS valley and relatives are welcome at any time for an open lunch. A cozy transition room invites you to try it without obligation for 3 or 4 weeks.

The devotions of the first and third Wednesday at 16.00, held by a priest of the parish of Lauterbrunnen, are particularly open to the public.

The regular weekly programme also includes Lisme-Chränzli and the preparation group.

From time to time small excursions are proposed in the valley.

Medical assistance is provided by doctors from Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. However, the doctor's free choice is guaranteed. Even pensioners who need stricter care can stay with us.

All pensioners have the option to choose the doctor freely.

All pensioners have access to common areas, such as cafeteria, TV room and lounge.
