In addition to the interior, the Restaurant also has a spacious and nice outdoor area for the warmest periods, rich in vegetation and with granite tables, where you can spend unique moments outdoor listening to the relaxing sound of the waters of the river Maggia that flows in the vicinity of the local. An ideal setting to feel like in the valley despite being in the vicinity of the city.

The restaurant also has reserved parking spaces for customers and a small playground for entertaining children.

The pleasure of cooking

A great passion for cuisine and delicate flavors

Our chef Stefano Burkhalter, current steward and chef of the French Riviera, soon discovered his passion for cooking. In 1983 he began his chef's apprenticeship at Lüscherz, near Lake Bienne, ending in 1986, when he arrived in Ticino. Until 1990, he worked at the Post Office in Locarno-Monti at the same time serving as chief kitchen.

That same year, he finally arrived at the French Riviera. He started as a cook, becoming head of the kitchen two years later. On March 1, 2017, when the family Schwyn, owner of the restaurant, decided to enjoy the pension, Stefano assumed the role of steward and head of cuisine. As manager of the service and right hand he avails himself of the precious work of the daughter of the former owners: Manuela Schwyn. Since 2018 he has joined the Guild of restaurants.
