The prostheses are generally divided into two groups: fixed prostheses and removable prostheses.
Fixed means that the prosthetic reconstruction is fixed in such a way that the patient cannot remove it alone. These are usually crowns or cemented bridges and, more rarely, screwed, which are supported only by pillar teeth or implants.
The total prostheses rest exclusively on the mucous membrane of the jaw, so also the palate is covered in the case of the upper prostheses. They are held in position by the suction force between the base of the prosthesis and the oral mucosa. In some cases, to improve retention, especially in the lower jaw, we use some individual dental roots with a pressure button or implants with a pressure button.
There are different types of prostheses.
There are several variants of partial prostheses. Partial prostheses are fixed with simple wire clips, with high quality shaped clasps, with pressure buttons or by means of special crown attacks or double crowns. Also in this case, there is a great price difference depending on whether you use the closures or crowns to anchor the partial prosthesis.
Whitening
Discolored teeth are whitened during whitening. Teeth discoloration is caused by some eating habits (e.g. tea or coffee consumption), smoking, but also drugs. A distinction is also made between external discoloration and internal discoloration (often in teeth treated with nerves)
