Brief history from 1924 to today

At the beginning of the last century, Piazza Grande was the nerve center of Locarnese.

It was right on the edge of this square that Oreste Borghi opened in 1924 the homonymous real estate agency.

Oreste Borghi was a pioneer of the modern concept of "Properties for Plans" or "Condominio" in accordance with the new needs expressed by tourists. It was he who built the first building in Minusio in the early 1960s and created the regulation to manage the common life of all the condominiums that in it were owners of one or more apartments.

Over the years the city of Locarno became an important tourist center, so it began to build more and bigger. The condominiums and buildings increased, the market went to swollen sails, they sold apartments on the "card". It was the years of the real estate boom.

When the founder Oreste Borghi died in 1972, the company's management was resumed by his son Silvio. But the real estate crisis was close, the stagnava sector and even the real estate Borghi affected the situation. After Silvio Borghi's death in 1983, the agency changed several owners and the name, which became Assofide SA, until in 1993 was purchased by Giancarlo Cotti. At that time, Assofide SA was composed of Giancarlo Cotti, as director, Erica Borghi, active in the sale, and three other collaborators.
