The Industrial Companies of Lugano (AIL) SA are the most important retail and wholesale distributor of water, natural gas and electricity from Canton Ticino. Their products and services are purchased daily by more than 110,000 private and business customers, distributed in about 54 municipalities, on a geographical area that extends from Monte Ceneri to the State border of Novazzano. They build and manage the networks necessary for the transport of products from the point of production or purchase to the customer.

In addition to the main services, AIL SA offers its customers alternative and/or complementary energy products, promote energy efficiency and green energy; designing and implementing environmentally friendly projects and the well-being of its customers. The AIL SA employs over 430 employees and has an annual turnover of more than CHF 300 million.
